Heat shock inducible Noggin line. Noggin (nog) under control of HSP70, and gamma Crystalllin-GFP double transgenic. HGEM vector (heat shock green-eyed monster) contains a Xenopus HSP70 promoter (Marsh-Armstrong et al., 1999) upstream of a multicloning site (MCS), followed by a 6x myc tag and SV40 poly A, and the Xenopus gamma-crystallin promoter driving expression of GFP (from Rob Grainger's lab) as a visible marker for transgene insertion. |

If transgenic embryos are heat shocked at stage 14 they develop multiple defects consistent with BMP inhibition, and expression of GFP in lens. |
